On the morning of November 25, 2011, at the Legend Hotel in District 1, HCMC, Vietceramics, in collaboration with the Vietnam Architects Association, the HCMC Architects Association, and GranitiFiandre (Italy), co-hosted the international conference "Sustainable Architecture - Unifying Global and Local Identity."
The conference featured renowned architects from Japan: Mr. Osamu Ishiyama, Mr. Tetsuo Furuichi, and Mr. Hiroshi Sambuichi. It was chaired by architect Duong Hong Hien, representing the Vietnam and HCMC Architects Associations, and welcomed over 300 guests, including architects, architecture students, and professionals interested in the event. The conference also received support from the Audi Group, Technokolla Group, and Sika Group. Through the conference, with the presentations of research and practical projects by the three experienced architects, attendees had the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of how global architecture impacts the environment and human life.
In addition, the speakers and guests discussed sustainable architectural solutions being applied in Japan in great detail, with the aim of finding sustainable design solutions suitable for Vietnam's conditions. Mr. Do Hong Phuc, General Director of Vietceramics, stated: "A month ago, we had the opportunity to meet some of you at the FuturArc Forum 2011 on the topic of Sustainable Architecture. This reunion with architects at this useful conference demonstrates our commitment to the issues that society is concerned about, including construction and development that are linked to protecting the community's living environment."
The conference concluded successfully, bringing hope that an increasing number of experts, individuals, and businesses will focus on the living environment. This will ensure that the beauty of architecture and materials harmonizes with the overall picture, not only elevating our quality of life but also creating a valuable asset for Vietnam's future generations.
