Emphasizing a modern and convenient style and focusing on functional value, the grand Metro Line 1 project has strict requirements for size and utility. To date, Vietceramics has supplied tile designs for two main underground stations, Bason and Opera House, with a dominant gray-white color palette. This brings a modern feel, balancing aesthetic form and functional utility for the project. In particular, the functional areas—from the waiting lobby, ticket machines, and automatic fare gates to the passenger information desk and the train platforms—use simple, neutral-colored tiles to ensure maximum functionality: an anti-slip surface design and tactile paving for the visually impaired. The Bason station design is particularly impressive with a wavy ceiling that evokes the Saigon River for passengers.
