What is the Anti-Slip Rating?
The anti-slip rating of a tile is determined by the R-Test method according to the German standard DIN 51130, which classifies anti-slip capabilities into grades from R9 to R13. This method is tested by having a person wearing safety boots and a harness walk on a tile surface that has been coated with oil. The incline of the floor is increased until the person slips. The recorded number at that moment corresponds to the R-grade anti-slip rating.

R9: This rating applies to tiles with a matte and relatively smooth surface, suitable for dry indoor areas such as living rooms and bedrooms.
